I think that the reason she is slowing down is because she getting calmer and more used to the trip. I think this may be true because on page 100 it says ' The mornig after my father and mother left...' I think this helps suport my answer because she is remebering her mother and she knows who she is and she is getting calmer. Just like all the places in the book were she is reminded of her mother is helping her calm down and enjoy the trip.

  2. I think that Sal is not in such a rush to get to Idaho because she is realizing that she can't always be sad and ruin her life being depressed. It said on page 101 that the whispers no longer said hurry, hurry or rush, rush. They now said, slow down, slow down. Sal could not figure this out. It seemed some sort of warning, but she did not have too much time to think about, as Sal was busy telling about Phoebe.

I think that Sal wasn't in a big hurry because she is getting used to the trip and didn't want to be in a hurry like in page 101. Sal isn't thinking in her head to hurry , hurry , hurry . Now in her head she is saying slow down, slow down, slow down. The reason why I think she changed her mind is because when Sal's dad left with Sal's mother, Sal felt disappointed because they left her behind.

  4. I think Sal is not in a hurry to get to Idhao because she realized that it's taking a long time to get there so she started thinking
"just stop being in a rush and calm down." In the book her Grandparents were stoping everywhere and taking a long time.
I think she realized that she can't just sit there and be sad for her life. She was just siting there and not talking to anyone. In the book, Sal said that she didn't want to talk about her mother but now she can because she feels like it's right to do that and let the anger out. I dont believe Sal is in a big rush to get to Idhao now. bY: Adrianna Young 26A1

I think that she isn’t in a hurry to get to Idaho because on page 101 it says “the whisper no longer said hurry, hurry or rush, rush it said slow down, slow down.” It said in the book on page 101 that this “seemed some sort of warning.” I think that if she rushes, then something bad might happen to them. I also think that she is starting to enjoy the trip with her Gram and Gramps and many things along the way are reminding Sal about her home. Page 100 “A singing tree.”

  6. I think she is not in such of a rush to get to Idaho anymore because she realized that her grandparent's are taking a long time getting here so she just thought to slow down and she will be there soon so now she wan't be in such a rush to get to her mom now. Even thow she miss her and wan't to get to Idaho before her mom's birthday. Adrianna Young 26A1
