I think that Sal is being so unsympathetic to Phoebe because Sal is kind of getting tired of hearing Phoebe going on and on about how the mysterious guy has kidnapped her mom. I bet that Sal doesn't believe this nonsense because it is so unlikely that Phoebe's mother got captured by this mysterious person. Also, Phoebe has this thing about her that makes her such a worry wart. It says on page 160 that Sal wanted to jump up and say, "Phoebe's mother has disappeared and that is why she is acting like a donkey," but she didn't because that would be rude. I think that supports my answer because Sal is expressing her real feelings to Phoebe. Just in the way she said it, you can tell that Sal is getting tired the way that Phoebe is still acting.

ReplyDeleteThe reason why I think Sal is acting unsympathetic is because Phoebe keeps making up stories about her mother. The that she makes up are like someone kidnapped her mom or she says her mom went on a bussiness trip.Sal is tired of hearing all those stories about Phoebe's mom's disappearance. Also Sal wants to worry about looking for her own mom.

I think that Sal is being unsympathetic is because Sal is tired of Pheobe's fooling around and is done with her yapping about her mom being kidnapped. Sal is done with her move and new house andnew school. Sal already ha too much on her plate. She can't take Pheobe. Liike on page 60 when it says, ' I wanted to jump up and tell everyone that Pheobe's mother was kidnapped.' I thin kthat supoerts my answer because Sal just wanted to tell everyone to get it over with.

ReplyDeleteOn page 166 it sais " I hated her that day." Also on page 166 it sais "In my book i drew a round head ut a rope around the neck and attached it to that tree." I think that Sal is saying and doing this because Pheobe is getting on her nerves and Sal doesn't care anymore. Also on page 165 it said "I couldn't help it. She was really getting on my nerves."
Sal is finding Pheobe anoying because she keeps telling Sal to make sacrifices and she is tellng Sal how lumpy her bed is and that that's why she is slouching so much. Pheobe is being rude and Sal doesn't like it one bit.
Sal was feeling unsympathetic because Pheobe tells Sal to stop and make sacrifices. Pheobe didn't realize that she was nagging her best friend. So Sal started thinking her friend should be sad and upset because her mom left. Again Pheobe has to not nagg on her best friend because her friends just might leave and not wan't to be her friend like Sal. Pheobe should remeber that Sal lost her mom at a young age and Pheobe lost her mom at an older age but still can be upset about her mom leaving her family. And not nagg and be kind of maen to her friend's.

ReplyDeleteThe reason why Sal is being mean to Phoebe about her Mom leaving, is because Sal is still going through the time when her Mom left her. It is stirring up bad feelings of when Sal's Mom left her. She doesn't like those feelings.
