I think that Sal will forgive her mother, because she is going to her mother's house for her birthday in Idaho. Also, Sal didn't see her mother after she left. Sal only got postcards from her mother, that was the last contact from her mother.

Sal isn't mad at her dad because there is no evidence in the book that proves she is mad at him.

I think that Sal will forgive her mother because it is the right thing to do and she still loves her. Sal knows that her mother still loved her because of the pastcards she sent. Even though the last postcard hert her bad she can still forgive.

Sal isn't mad at her Dad but, she is mad at his pick.On page 90 it clearly states that Sal is mad at Margaret. "I don't want it." Just imagen if it was from her mother she would of loved it.

I think that Sal does forgive her mom and she doesn't. Sal does forgive her mom because she will always love her no matter what happens. She also has to go on with life and she can't dwell on that forever. I also say that she doesn't forgive her because she would of liked to know when her mom left so at least she could have said goodbye. It says on page 38 that she forces herself not to cry and that she tells herself that she can be happy without her mom. Yet at the same time, she doesn't forgive her for leaving and it will always be imprinted in her heart. I do think that Sal is upset with her dad because her mom left home and she fells horrible about it. Her dad even has a girlfriend and she doesn't like her. Sal just wants everything to be normal again.

I think that Sal will forgive her mother. I don't think that she is mad at her father eather. In the story on page 3, it sais when sal's father is chipping away the plaster on the wall and he finds a hidden fireplace. Sal did not show any emotion almost like he didn't blame him for doing it. And she knows that it wasn't his fault for making her leave. She just left.

  8. I think Sal will forgive her mom because she's going to see her right now so why would she be mad at her mom if she was going to see her for her birthday. Even though her mom didn't say anything to her before she left her.
I also think she is not mad at her dad because in the book it didn't say that she was at her dad. Well i mean he didn't make her pack up her stuff and leave she did it not him.

I do think Sal forgives her mom because she admits to herself that she can be happy without her mom. (page 38-39 " Salamanca Tree Hiddle, you can be happy without her.") Sal is also anxious to see her mom on the road trip with her grandparents. (Page 56 "Gramps said "I sure to hate to get back on the road, but time's a-wastin." Yes, I thought, yes, yes, yes!)
I think Sal is not upset at her dad because she really loves her dad and wants to be really close to him.( page 69 I think he had been crying. His hands and shirt were greasy, but then he hugged me,I didn't flinch.
On page 87, Sal talks about how her father's behavior is different when he is around his girlfriend, Margaret Cadaver. Sal doesn't like it when her Dad smiles and laughs with Margaret. She wants her Dad to be happy, but when he is sad, she knows he is thinking about her mom.
